Ed Haupt
Mortgage Broker
Ed founded Haupt & Co in 2025 after running his own mortgage brokerage for over six years.
He holds CeMAP qualification, gained in 2019, and advises on everything from first-time buyer and remortgage cases through to complex scenarios including self-employed income, portfolio lending, and limited company structures.

What We're About
We started Haupt & Co because too many people feel like just another case number – rushed, confused, or talked at instead of listened to. We wanted to do it differently.
Our focus is simple: put people first, take the time to understand the problem, and give advice we’d be comfortable giving to our own friends and family. That means asking better questions, explaining things clearly, and never pushing solutions that don’t genuinely make sense.
We’re independent and whole-of-market, with access to more than 130 lenders, which means we’re not tied to any bank or product range. Whether you’re a landlord exploring buy-to-let mortgage options, an investor considering limited company mortgage structures, or a business owner looking at commercial property finance, we look at the full picture and give you honest advice, not the most convenient option for us.

Sustainability
The mortgage and wider lending industry plays a significant role in climate change. The capital it allocates directly influences how homes are built, renovated, heated and powered, shaping the carbon profile of millions of properties. Financial institutions also generate substantial “financed emissions” through the sectors they support.
Residential buildings account for around 16% of the UK’s carbon emissions, and globally the built environment contributes approximately 17% of CO₂ emissions. While data on mortgage-financed emissions continues to develop, many UK lenders estimate that up to 80% of their financed emissions sit within their mortgage portfolios.
At Haupt & Co, we recognise the scale of this impact and the responsibility that comes with supporting clients across mortgages, remortgages, business finance, development funding, bridging finance, asset finance, financial protection and health insurance.
We want to contribute meaningfully towards restoring the planet, so we make donations to Ecologi every time we help a client. This means that as we help people build their financial future, we also support certified carbon-removal projects that help regenerate the world we all depend on.
